New model blend snow amounts increase for Long Island for the Tuesday storm:
The new National Weather Service model blend just came out with a slight southeastward shift with it now showing around 4 inches of snow on Long Island, up from around 3 inches in the previous run. It's still expected to change to sleet and freezing rain. The image below shows the projected snowfall from 7 PM Monday to 7 PM Tuesday from the model blend. There would be more snow in northern New England after 7 PM Tuesday.
