New NAM run is colder and snowier for Long Island and NWS blend expands snow in New England:
While it's too early to know if this will hold, the new 12Z NAM run is showing more snow for Long Island. The high-res NAM ends at 7 PM Monday, but it has it still as all snow on Long Island, and the 12km NAM doesn't have the rain until after 10 PM, and it even has moderate to heavy snow Monday morning as well. If this holds, snow amounts will have to be increased on Long Island. The 1st image is for 4 PM Monday from the high-res NAM.
The new NWS model blend snow map has shifted northwest, and it really expands the snow dramatically northwestward in New England (see 2nd image).
