Not a great forecast, but the temperatures are good. Potential tropical storm after the 20th:

- The details for Long Island are below, but generally not a great deal of sunshine over the next 5 days. While there will be some periods of fog, drizzle, sprinkles, showers, and possibly a thunderstorm, there won't be a lot of rainfall overall as you can see in the 2nd image.

- Warmer weather for Sunday and Monday, and it will also be fairly humid until the cold front comes through Monday evening.

- There is a slight chance for tropical development in the western Caribbean around May 20th with a chance for any storm to move generally northward (see 3rd image).


LONG ISLAND FORECAST:

Today: Cloudy in the morning with a chance of sprinkles and then partly sunny in the afternoon, but remaining cloudy in Suffolk along the south shore and east end with highs around 70 degrees in Nassau and in the upper 60's in Suffolk, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the ENE at 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight: Increasing clouds with a chance of light showers, drizzle, and patchy fog towards and after midnight with lows in the mid 50's in Nassau and low 50's in Suffolk. Wind out of the E at 5 to 10 mph.

Tomorrow: Showers, drizzle, and/or fog in the morning and then cloudy in the afternoon with highs in the mid 60's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind generally out of the E at 5 to 10 mph.

Tomorrow night: Cloudy with patchy fog, drizzle, and/or showers possible after midnight with lows in the mid 50's in Nassau and low 50's in Suffolk. Wind becoming nearly calm towards and after midnight.

Saturday: Some fog, drizzle, and light showers possible in the morning and then remaining cloudy with a 50% chance of scattered showers in the afternoon/evening with highs in the upper 60's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the ESE at 5 to 10 mph.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy with a 30% chance of a showers with the best chance being earlier in the morning and later in the day with highs around 70 degrees, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the SSW at 10 to 15 mph.

Monday: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers likely with a possible weak thunderstorm in the afternoon/evening. Highs in the mid 70's in Nassau and low 70's in Suffolk, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the SSW at 10 to 15 mph.

Tuesday: Partly cloudy with low humidity with a slight chance of a passing shower in the afternoon with highs in the low 70's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the WNW at 10 to 20 mph.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny with low humidity with highs in the upper 60's to near 70 degrees. Wind out of the WNW at 10 to 20 mph.
