Quick 3:45 AM update with the maps for today and the week ahead with the Long Island forecast:

- Happy Easter and Passover to those that celebrate.

- The dry weather continues for Long Island and the northeast, and you can see the maps for today in the 1st and 2nd images.

- Rain for later this week and next weekend will mainly be focused over the Mid-Atlantic, and there is some uncertainty in how far north it will get. You can see the rainfall maps below.


LONG ISLAND FORECAST:


Today: Mostly cloudy in the morning and then mostly sunny in the afternoon with highs mostly around 60 in Nassau and upper 50's in Suffolk, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the NW at 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight: Clear skies with lows mostly in the upper 30's. Wind out of the NNW at 10 to 15 mph.

Tomorrow: Sunny with highs mostly in the low 60's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the NW at 15 to 25 mph.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny with highs mostly in the low 60's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the NNW at around 10 mph.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny with highs mostly in the low 60's, but cooler for the south shore and east end.

Thursday: Partly cloudy with highs in the upper 50's to around 60 degrees, but cooler for the south shore and east end.

Friday: Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers by late afternoon. Highs in the mid to upper 50's.

Saturday: Cloudy with a chance of showers. Highs in the mid to upper 50's.
