Quick 4 AM update on the tropics and the Long Island forecast:
There are no changes in the chances of development for the 2 systems; they are still at 90% for the system in the Atlantic (Invest 94L) and 30% for the potential system in the western Caribbean. It's notable that they haven't increased the probability for the Caribbean, and the Euro ensembles are much less bullish on development than the GFS ensembles.
Long Island forecast:
Today: Increasing clouds in the afternoon with highs mostly in the low 60's.
Tomorrow: Mostly cloudy with highs in the mid 60's.
Tuesday: Mostly cloudy with highs in the upper 60's to around 70 degrees.
Wednesday: Partly to mostly cloudy with only a very slight chance of a shower. Highs in the upper 60's to near 70 degrees.
Thursday: Partly cloudy with highs mostly in the upper 60's to near 70 degrees.
Friday: Mostly cloudy with highs in the mid to upper 60's.
