The 1st image shows the observed snowfall as of 1 AM. There were hurricane-force wind gusts in southeastern New England. As for Long Island, rainfall amounts were mostly between 1.25" and 2.25" with wind gusts up to 50 mph in Suffolk.
The week ahead will be a quiet one as the strong storm for Tuesday will stay offshore, and it will be cold for the first half of the week with a late week and weekend warm-up. No snowstorms are on the horizon as only 5 of the 50 Euro ensemble members are showing 2 inches or more of snow for Long Island between the 15th and 19th.
