Quick snow update from new 18Z Euro and ensembles and a note about the storm next Thursday:
The 18Z Euro run only goes out 90 hours, but at least we can see the beginning portion of the snow. It's showing the snow beginning around 10:00 Monday night in Nassau and between 11 PM and 4 AM from west to east in Suffolk. It's going to be a long-duration, but mostly light to moderate snow event for Long Island. The projected snowfall from the Euro ensemble mean is shown in the 1st image.
The 18Z Euro ensembles go out 6 days, and they clearly show the storm for next Thursday moving not only east, but ESE from around Cape Hatteras into the Atlantic.
I will have a full update by around 4:45 AM tomorrow.
