Quick update on the big storm:
All signs continue to point towards a big storm for the northeast early next week with heavy snow well inland and heavy rain and strong winds for Long Island and southern New England. The potential is there for wind gusts of 45 to 60 mph on Long Island. The Euro ensemble mean is now over 50 mph and the Euro continues to show gusts over 60 mph. The storm will linger over the northeast for a few days due to the blocking pattern. There is still the potential for a 2nd storm for NEXT weekend that would be farther east, so it bears watching.
