Quick update on the potential heavy front-end snow on Thursday:

A period of accumulating snow is becoming more likely for Thursday mid or late morning to late afternoon on Long Island before changing to sleet and then rain. With cold high pressure to the north, this has a classic look of a quick heavy thump of snow that has the potential to produce 3 to 5 inches before the change to sleet and then rain.
