Quick update on Tropical Storm Eta as up to 35 inches of rain are possible:
Eta has maximum sustained winds of 50 mph, but it's in an intensification phase and will likely become a hurricane by tomorrow night. It will slow down and make landfall in Nicaragua on Wednesday, and it has the potential to bring up to 35 inches of rain to Nicaragua and Honduras. While it will weaken rapidly over the mountainous terrain, it's still possible that the remnants could eventually re-emerge into the northwestern Caribbean.
