Radar and Hurricane Delta:
Here is the radar showing the 2 lines of showers and thunderstorms bringing the gusty winds. The strongest wind gusts for Long Island should be between 5 PM and 10 PM.
Based on the latest recon data, Hurricane Delta has maximum sustained winds of a Cat 1 (the NHC is at 100 mph with the 2 PM advisory), but the storm/ wind field is getting larger, as I have posted about previously. It will still intensify to a Cat 3 and then weaken somewhat to a Cat 2 probably when it makes landfall Friday afternoon in central to western Louisiana (the 4th image is the HWRF for 5 PM Friday.
