Radar showing the snow on Long Island and thoughts from the NWS on the Sunday storm:
You can see the rain has changed to snow in Nassau and western Suffolk. Temperatures will be dropping into the mid 20's by early tomorrow morning, so be careful out there.
Regarding the Sunday storm, the following is from the National Weather Service covering Long Island and the Tri-State area: "There will be a chance of snow Sunday through Sunday night with perhaps some rain mixing in along the coast with low pressure passing offshore. There are a wide range of model solutions. The ECMWF (Euro) operational run from 12Z showing the most aggressive solution with more snow and a stronger offshore low with higher gusty winds. Meanwhile, GFS and Canadian models as well as multiple ECMWF ensemble members show a weaker low that is farther offshore."
