Rain stays to the east, the L.I. forecast, and finally a legitimate Atlantic hurricane chance:

- I've included the rainfall map from the Model Blend in the 2nd image, and you can see the rain mainly stays to the east and then swings into Maine.

- For Long Island, most areas won't even see a shower. Highs will mostly be close to 80 degrees until we get to Thursday when warmer air returns with highs in the low 80's and then mid 80's for Friday and Saturday. There will probably be increasing clouds Saturday afternoon with a chance of some showers at night and on Sunday.

- It appears that we finally have a legitimate chance at getting a tropical storm or hurricane to form in the Atlantic towards the end of the month (see 3rd image), so you know I will be watching that.
