Regarding the tornado potential and the new rain, wind, and radar maps, as well as new info:
While the threat of a tornado and/or waterspout is very low for Long Island and just offshore, the best chance would be in Suffolk between around 4 AM and 6 AM. Also, the sun should come out tomorrow afternoon, but there is the sneaky potential for strong thunderstorms tomorrow evening/night. The maximum projected wind gusts in the 2nd image are probably at least 5 mph too high on the windier side of the storm.
- 1st and 2nd images: Projected rainfall and max gusts
- 3rd to 5th images: Future radar for tomorrow at 5 AM, 1 PM, and 8 PM
