Sally and future Teddy:
Just a brief update. The good news is that for the 2nd run in a row, the HWRF model didn't show Sally strengthening to any more than a minimal Cat 1. Also, wind shear is currently preventing any kind of rapid intensification. You can see in the 1st image that the low-level center of circulation is partly exposed. There are still going to be significant to major impacts from storm surge of 7 to 11 feet and rainfall totals of 10 to 15 inches with wind gusts still expected to be hurricane-force. I will have the latest update from the National Hurricane Center when it comes out around 5:00.
Teddy is going to be an impressive and powerful hurricane later this week (see 2nd image).
