Severe thunderstorm potential with a tornado chance, heat wave, and the tropics:

- There is a severe thunderstorm threat for the northeast tomorrow into tomorrow evening with even the slight chance of a tornado or two, especially for most of MA into southern NH (see 4th image). It will also be breezy/windy tomorrow on Long Island with gusts up to 30 mph in the afternoon for the south shore.

- While it will generally be humid until Saturday night, tomorrow and Saturday will be very uncomfortably humid.

- There is a Heat Advisory for all of Long Island from 11 AM tomorrow to 9 PM Friday for heat index temperatures as high as 102 degrees.

- The cold front will bring some thunderstorms Saturday afternoon/evening with more details to come as we get closer to it.

- Cooler with low humidity Sunday into next week, and the humid weather may not return until next Thursday.

- Not much to be concerned about in the tropics. Emily may form from the wave out in the Atlantic, but if it does, it could re-curve northward and stay east of even Bermuda, but there is time to watch it.
