Snow map for this weekend, the Long Island forecast, and Christmas is still uncertain:

- Very mild today with highs probably reaching the low 60's in Nassau and western Suffolk, and tomorrow will approach 60 degrees as well.

- The snow map for this weekend from the NWS model blend is shown below, but it will be all rain for Long Island, but most of it will be light, although it will last all day on Saturday and into the night with around a half-inch of rain.

- There is still uncertainty for Christmas, and there are many Euro ensemble members showing some snow for Long Island between the 24th and 26th (see 3rd image).


LONG ISLAND FORECAST:

Today: Becoming partly sunny, breezy, and very mild with highs in the low 60's in Nassau and western Suffolk, around 60 in central Suffolk, and in the mid to upper 50's for eastern Suffolk. Wind out of the SW at 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of a light passing shower with lows in the upper 40's. Wind out of the SW at 10 to 15 mph.

Tomorrow: Partly cloudy with highs in the upper 50's to near 60 degrees. Wind out of the WNW at 10 to 15 mph.

Tomorrow night: Mostly cloudy with showers developing after 4 AM. Lows in the mid to upper 30's. Wind out of the NW at 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday: Periods of mostly light rain and chilly with highs in the mid 40's. Wind out of the ENE at 5 to 10 mph.

Sunday: Cloudy early in the morning, otherwise partly cloudy, windy, and cold with highs in the low 40's. Wind out of the NW at 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

Monday: Sunny and cold with highs in the upper 30's. Wind out of the WNW at 5 to 10 mph.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny with highs in the mid 40's. Wind out of the W at 10 to 15 mph.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny with highs in the mid 40's.
