The speculation on this storm is just for fun really, so don't read too much into it: while the GFS keeps the Feb 5th/6th storm well to the south and out to sea, a surprising number of its ensemble members bring a strong storm up the coast (see video below).

There will then be some milder air after this storm (wherever it tracks), and then a more favorable pattern for snow is still expected from mid-Feb into early/mid-March.
