LONG ISLAND FORECAST:
Today: Mostly sunny with highs in the mid 80's in northern Nassau and northwestern Suffolk and low 80's elsewhere, but cooler for the south shore and especially the east end, particularly by mid to late afternoon with a sea breeze. Wind out of the W at 5 to 10 mph in the morning and then out of the SW at 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon.
Tonight: Increasing clouds with lows in the low 60's in Nassau and in the upper 50's in Suffolk. Wind out of the SW at 5 to 10 mph and then becoming nearly calm after midnight.
Tomorrow: Mostly cloudy with some partial sunshine and a slight chance of a shower with highs in the upper 70's, but cooler for the south shore and especially the east end. Wind nearly calm early in the morning and then out of the WSW at 5 to 10 mph.
Tomorrow night: Partly cloudy with lows in the mid 50's in Nassau and mostly low 50's in Suffolk with some upper 40's possible in eastern Suffolk. Wind out of the N at 5 to 10 mph.
Sunday (Mother's Day): Mostly sunny with highs in the low 70's in Nassau and near 70 or 71 degrees in Suffolk, but cooler for the south shore and especially the east end. Wind out of the N at 10 to 15 mph.
Monday: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy with highs around 70 degrees, but cooler for the south shore and especially the east end. Wind out of the NW at 5 to 10 mph in the morning and then out of the WSW at 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon.
Tuesday: Partly cloudy and becoming breezy with highs in the mid to upper 70's, but cooler for the south shore and especially the east end. Wind out of the WSW at 10 to 20 mph.
Wednesday: Partly cloudy in the morning and mostly sunny in the afternoon with highs in the mid to upper 60's, but cooler for the south shore and especially the east end. Wind out of the NW at 10 to 15 mph.
