Sunny and milder weather ahead!
After snow showers end early this morning on Long Island, there will be a mix of sun and clouds today, but it will be chilly and windy. Starting tomorrow, there will be above average temperatures and mostly sunny skies into Tuesday.
LONG ISLAND FORECAST:
Today: Windy with snow showers ending around between 4:30 AM and 5:30 AM from west to east, and then becoming partly to mostly sunny by mid to late morning. Highs in the low 40's. Wind out of the N with gusts up to 35 mph, but gradually diminishing in the late afternoon and evening.
Tonight: Clear and cold with lows mostly in the mid to upper 20's. Wind out of the north at 10 to 20 mph, but a diminishing wind late may allow temperatures to drop into the low to mid 20's.
Saturday: Sunny with highs in the upper 40's to low 50's. Wind mostly out of the N to NW in the morning at around 5 to 10 mph, but shifting to the west in the afternoon.
Sunday: Sunny with highs mostly in the low to mid 50's, but cooler for the south shore and east end.
Monday: Mostly Sunny with highs in the low to mid 50's, but cooler for the south shore and east end.
Tuesday: Partly cloudy with highs in the mid to upper 50's, but cooler for the south shore and east end.
Wednesday: Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers with highs in the mid 50's.
Thursday: Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers with highs in the mid 50's.
