Sunny and windy today with more rain ahead with no real warmth in sight and a chance for early April snow next week for central to northern areas, and it's a long way out, but the eclipse weather...

... may not be good

- Northeasterly winds continue today and tomorrow with the strongest gusts east.

- Enjoy the sunshine today as you many not see it again until Friday afternoon.

- While the exact track of the offshore storm later in the week is uncertain, the highest rainfall amounts will be for the coast. While there will be some showers around on Wednesday, the main period of rain from the offshore storm is around Wednesday night into Thursday night and possibly into Friday morning for eastern sections.

- Watching the system for next Monday night into Wednesday morning (April 1st to 3rd) as it has a chance to bring some some to central and northern areas of the northeast.

- Still 2 weeks until the eclipse, so I will be watching the conditions for it. Early indications aren't great, but I wouldn't worry yet. It will all come down to timing.
