Sunny days continue, but cold before turning mild next week. Then what comes next?

As I have been posting about, the dry weather with mostly sunny days will continue through the middle of next week for Long Island and most of the northeast. It will be a very cold weekend though with wind chill temperatures starting out around 10 degrees tomorrow on Long Island with weekend highs in the 30's. Temperatures will soar well into the 50's for the middle of next week with some 60's possible on Thursday for areas just inland. A cold front might come through next Thursday night. There is a chance for snow for parts of New England and NY state as early as next Saturday night. While snow is unlikely on Long Island next weekend, it can't be ruled out, as some of the Euro ensembles are showing.
