Sunny days continue into next week, but 4 very cold mornings coming:
There continues to be no precipitation on the horizon for most of the northeast through at least the early to middle part of next week. However, while today will be around 50 degrees on Long Island, cold weather is coming for Thursday night into Monday morning. You can see the projected wind chill temperatures for Friday morning to Monday morning in the 2nd to 5th images. Temperatures will rebound into the 50's though for next Tuesday to next Friday.
LONG ISLAND FORECAST:
Today: Mostly sunny with highs in the upper 40's to around 50 degrees. Wind out of the WSW this morning and then W this afternoon at around 10 to 15 mph.
Tonight: Partly cloudy with light winds around 5 mph with lows in the upper 20's to low 30's.
Tomorrow Mostly sunny, breezy, and cooler with highs in the low 40's. Wind out of the NW with gusts up to 25 mph in the afternoon.
Friday: Mostly sunny, breezy, and cold with highs in the mid 30's. Wind out of the WNW to NW with gusts up to 25 mph.
Saturday Mostly sunny with highs in the mid to upper 30's. Wind out of the WNW to NW at around 15 mph.
Sunday: Mostly sunny with highs around 40 degrees. Wind out of the NW at 10 to 15 mph.
Monday: Mostly sunny with highs in the low 40's. Wind at around 5 to 10 mph from the NNW in the morning and shifting to W and then WSW by late afternoon.
