The L.I. forecast with an unsettled and mild stretch, but still watching for storminess mid-month:

- You can see the details for Long Island in the forecast below as the unseasonably mild weather continues with periods of showers for most of the week after today.

- Watching for a couple of storms with the first being around the 11th/12 and the second being around the 14th/15th (2nd image). I'm looking for the rain/snow line to be a little farther southeast with the second storm, but we will see as we start to get a little closer.


LONG ISLAND FORECAST:

Today: Partly sunny through mid and upper level clouds with highs in the low 50's. Wind out of the W at around 5 mph.

Tonight: Increasing clouds with patchy fog developing after midnight with a slight chance of a shower/drizzle with lows in the low to mid 40's. Wind light and variable.

Tomorrow: Patchy morning fog/drizzle/showers with a steadier rain later in the morning and into the afternoon with highs in the low to mid 50's. Wind out of the SSE at 5 to 10 mph in the morning and out of the S to SSW at 10 to 15 mph with gusts to 20 mph in the afternoon.

Tomorrow night: Cloudy with a slight chance of a shower and patchy fog with temperatures nearly steady around 50 degrees. Wind out of the SW at 10 to 15 mph.

Wednesday: Cloudy in the morning with showers likely in the afternoon and mild with in the upper 50's. Wind out of the SW/SSW at 5 to 10 mph.

Thursday: Showers likely in the morning and then cloudy in the afternoon with highs in the upper 40's. Wind out of the NE at 10 to 15 mph.

Friday: Showers ending from west to east between late morning and early to mid-afternoon and then cloudy with highs in the low 40's. Wind out of the NNW at 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday: Partly cloudy with increasing clouds late in the day with highs in the low 40's. Wind out of the WNW at 5 to 10 mph.
