The Long Island forecast with a really warm Friday coming and some comments on what's ahead:

- The nor'easter is spinning in some showers for eastern Long Island and southeastern New England (see 2nd image) with relatively cooler temperatures today.

- A nice warm-up is coming with Friday likely being the hottest with some upper 80's possible in Nassau.

- The humidity will gradually increase this weekend into early next week with a slowly increasing chance of some rain with the best chance being next Tuesday and also possibly next Wednesday.

- The system heading for the southwestern Gulf of Mexico is still being given a 20% chance of tropical development this weekend as it could head for extreme southern Texas.

- There is still a chance for one or two tropical systems in the Atlantic later this month (see 3rd image), but nothing is imminent or overly concerning just yet.
