The relatively cool weather continues through this weekend:

- After some scattered showers tomorrow mostly in the afternoon and through the evening for Long Island, it will generally be mostly sunny, breezy, and relatively cool for the rest of the week.

- As you can see in the 2nd image, the temperatures look closer to average next week with highs mostly in the low to mid 60's.


LONG ISLAND FORECAST:

Today: Partly to mostly cloudy with highs mostly in the upper 50's, but around 60 degrees in Nassau and cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the ESE and then SE at around 10 mph.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy with lows in the upper 40's in Nassau and mid 40's in Suffolk. Wind out of the SE at 5 to 10 mph.

Tomorrow: Cloudy with some scattered showers, mostly in the afternoon with highs mostly in the upper 50's to low 60's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the SE in the morning and then mostly out of the NE in the afternoon at 5 to 10 mph.

Tomorrow night: Scattered showers until around 2 AM with lows in the mid 40's. Wind becoming out of the NNW at 10 to 15 mph.

Wednesday: Partly cloudy and breezy with highs in the upper 50's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the NW at 15 to 20 mph with gusts over 25 mph.

Thursday: Mostly sunny and breezy with highs in the mid 50's. Wind out of the NW at 15 to 25 mph.

Friday: Mostly sunny with highs in the upper 50's. Wind out of the NW at 10 to 20 mph.

Saturday: Mostly sunny with highs around 60 degrees. Wind out of the NW at 10 to 15 mph.

Sunday: Mostly sunny with highs around 60 degrees. Wind out of the NW at 5 to 10 mph.
