Update on the fog/rain, some nice days, Halloween rain, and the tropics:

- The details for Long Island are in the forecast below, but the dreary weather with some fog and showers at times will continue into tomorrow night, but there won't be many showers around today or this evening, and then there will be better coverage of showers late tonight and especially tomorrow morning into early afternoon with reduced coverage by tomorrow evening. Then we will have nice weather from Thursday to Sunday. Some rain will probably be arriving sometime on Halloween in the afternoon, but the exact timing is uncertain.

- Regarding the tropics, we have the 2 areas off the east coast, but nothing significant is expected from them as they stay off the coast. The GFS and its ensembles continue to show the potential for a hurricane in the Caribbean Sea next week, and now the Canadian models also shows it as well. The Euro and its ensembles are not bullish on tropical development though, so it will just be something to keep an eye on for now.
