... the middle of next week with big northeast snow potential for some areas.***
- I've included the Model Blend precipitation map below, and it's mostly rain, but there will likely be some snow for portions of Maine Friday night into Saturday morning as the storm really deepens. The Euro has the snow for northern and northeastern Maine, but the Model Blend has the snow farther west (see 3rd image), so stay tuned. With the storm becoming so strong, it will lead to windy conditions throughout the northeast on Friday with breezy conditions on Saturday as well.
- A weak system will pass through this weekend which may bring some some showers later Saturday into early Sunday for southern areas with some light snow possible for central areas of the northeast.
- The next storm for the middle part of next week is uncertain, but it looks like another storm where the main system cuts west and then a secondary storm forms near the coast and becomes the main storm. Exactly where that secondary storm forms will determine who gets the snow. The GFS is farther south with the snow and has huge totals for central New England, and the Euro is farther north. Plenty of time to watch this, and it will soon become the main focus. The 10-day Model Blend snow map in the 4th image which areas have the best chance for snow.
