Update on the snow and the Long Island forecast:

- The Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 1 PM for up to 2 inches of snow on Long Island. The rain should change to snow between 7 AM and 8:30 AM from northwest to southeast. The colder air looks a little delayed, so temperatures may not drop to 32 degrees until 11 AM.

- I have also included the snow and ice maps for the Carolinas and Virginia into Maryland for tomorrow into Saturday morning.
