***Update on the storm with heavy rain and wind and then a tricky, weaker system just offshore...

... for the middle of next week with with colder air in place***

- Sunny days continue for now with today being the coldest day, and then it will be much milder starting tomorrow. - It now looks like rain will arrive sometime around early afternoon on Sunday for Long Island and become heavy at times at night into Monday morning with windy conditions. As of now, it looks like rainfall totals of around 1.5 to 2.5 inches for Long Island with the potential for wind gusts up to 45 mph. - A tricky secondary storm will likely develop just offshore for the middle of next week and with colder air in place, there could be some snow not that far inland. It's very uncertain since it's 6 days away, but it's even possible for snow showers on Long Island, so stay tuned for changes. The Euro has it as a snowstorm for central NY state, but that seems overdone and too far west. The Canadian and GFS have the storm mostly bring rain just to the coast with the system a little farther offshore. - Stay tuned for many more updates through today into tonight.
