- For Long Island, we have a couple of nice days, but it will be windy this afternoon/evening. Showers and cooler on Wednesday and then a period of rain from the cold front Thursday maybe from around mid or late afternoon into early evening or so, but Thursday will be very mild.
- High pressure builds in for the weekend with blue skies and highs mainly in the 50's.
LONG ISLAND FORECAST:
Today: Mostly sunny and becoming windy in the afternoon with highs in the mid to upper 50's in Nassau and low to mid 50's in Suffolk, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the S at 5 to 10 mph in the morning and 15 to 25 mph in the afternoon with gusts to 30 mph.
Tonight: Partly cloudy and windy in the evening with lows in the mid 40's in Nassau and low to mid 40's in Suffolk. Wind out of the SSW at 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 30 mph in the evening and then out of the SW at 10 to 15 mph after midnight.
Tomorrow: Partly sunny with highs in the mid 60's in Nassau, low to mid 60's in western Suffolk, low 60's in central Suffolk, and cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the SE 5 to 10 mph.
Tomorrow night: Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers after 2 AM with lows around 50 degrees in Nassau and in the mid to upper 40's in Suffolk. Wind out of the SE/ESE at 5 to 10 mph.
Wednesday: Showers likely with highs in the mid to upper 50's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the E at 5 to 10 mph in the morning and 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon.
Thursday: Cloudy and mild with a chance of scattered showers in the morning and then rain likely with the cold front around mid or late afternoon into early evening with highs in the mid to upper 60's in Nassau and low to mid 60's in Suffolk, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Friday: Partly sunny with highs in the upper 50's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the WNW at 10 to 20 mph.
Saturday: Mostly sunny with highs in the low to mid 50's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the NNW in the morning and SW by late afternoon at around 10 mph.
Sunday (Easter): Sunny with highs in the mid 50's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the WNW at 5 to 10 mph in the morning and then out of the S at 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon.
