- The strong thunderstorm threat is mainly inland today and for western Long Island, and any thunderstorms can produce torrential downpours, gusty winds, and small hail. Also, the storms may be slow-moving, producing a localized flash flood threat. The future radar for 5 PM is shown in the 2nd image and the probability of thunder later in the afternoon is shown in the 3rd image.
- The slight haze continues today and tomorrow, but there isn't an Air Quality Alert for Long Island.
- It looks like a passing shower for some on Long Island tomorrow late morning to early afternoon, but most of tomorrow and Thursday are dry with a better chance for some showers and thunderstorms on Friday with only a slight chance on Saturday.
- The only day with really no chance of a shower or thunderstorm is Sunday, which will be an amazing day with lower humidity and sunny skies.
- Don is still wandering around the central Atlantic.
- The Euro ensembles really show only a very slight chance of a tropical storm or hurricane later this month (see 4th image), so it's really nothing to worry about right now.
