***Warm today (except for the coast, especially late), severe weather for the deep south (especially tomorrow), some showers Wednesday with the main rain and wind for the northeast being later...

... Thursday into Friday morning with the wind continuing into Saturday***

- Mid 70's inland today and 70 degrees for most of Long Island, but much cooler east and especially late for eastern New England and eastern Long Island from a backdoor cold front and onshore flow.

- While there will be some showers around at times tomorrow into Thursday, most of the heavier rain and wind will be Thursday evening into Friday morning. Rainfall amounts will generally be an inch or so for the coast with 1 to 2 inches inland (see 6th image). Wind gusts generally up to 45 mph, except higher for the coast and in the mountains (see last image).

- Still windy on Saturday with some showers around, mainly for northern areas, and then watching some showers possibly approach for later on Sunday or Sunday night.
