Washout today, windy tonight/tomorrow, weak clipper Saturday night into Easter morning, long-duration storminess next week with snow central/north, then hope on the horizon:

- Welcome to Opening Day for baseball, which is always a special day for me.

- You all know about the rain for today with 1 to 2 inches for Long Island, highest east. Higher amounts as you head into eastern New England (see 2nd image). It will also become windy tonight and last into tomorrow night.

- A weak clipper system will move through mostly Saturday night into Sunday morning with a chance of some showers with some light snow possible on the northern fringe for central areas of the northeast, depending on the track.

- An extended period of unsettled weather next week generally from late Monday into Thursday morning possibly with maybe another 1.5 to 2 inches of rain for Long Island and a chance for some snow for central to northern areas of the northeast, especially at higher elevations, as the Model Blend snow map below shows.

- It's still 11 days away, but there are signs of hope for the conditions for the total eclipse on April 8th, but it's too early to have any confidence. However, it does look warmer that week!
