Wild weather coming:

It looks like some wild weather coming to Long Island around 2 AM to 6 AM Wednesday (very late tomorrow night into early Wednesday morning) with torrential downpours and strong southerly winds that could approach 50 mph, especially along the south shore. The National Weather Service has increased their max gusts up to 34 mph for Long Island. The Euro is showing gusts over 65 mph, but that's not going to happen. The NAM is showing gusts over 55 mph, and the HRRR model is showing gusts over 45 mph. However, the sun will be out in the afternoon, and it will be much less humid! I will have an update early tomorrow morning.
