Wind gust/ rainfall disagreement and tropics:
The Euro is showing wind gusts up to 65 mph Wednesday morning on Long Island (1st image), while the National Weather Service is showing max gusts of less than 30 mph (2nd image). Most likely there will be some gusts over 40 mph. This is what the National Weather Service covering Long Island and the tri-state area is saying regarding the wind: "There may also be some gusty winds near the coast Wednesday morning immediately ahead of the front and then as the front passes." Not very specific, LOL.
The Euro (3rd image) and GFS (4th image) have trended the rain more to the west as compared to what the National Weather Service (5th image) and Weather Prediction Center (6th image) are showing.
The last image is the Euro ensembles for the next 10 days. There is the potential for a weak system affecting Florida this weekend, and then there may be another system to watch after that. I will continue to update as more information becomes available.
