LONG ISLAND FORECAST:

Today: Scattered showers in the morning and then cloudy in the afternoon with still a chance of a couple of light showers with highs in the mid 50's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the SE at 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight: Partly to mostly cloudy with lows in the mid 40's in Nassau and low to mid 40's in Suffolk. Wind out of the SE then E at around 5 mph.

Tomorrow: Mostly cloudy in the morning and cloudy in the afternoon and becoming breezy with a slight chance of a shower by late afternoon with highs in the mid to upper 50's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the E/ESE at 5 to 10 mph in the morning and 10 to 20 mph in the afternoon.

Tomorrow night: Showers developing in the evening with a chilly rain overnight with lows in the upper 40's in Nassau and mid to upper 40's in Suffolk. Wind out of the E at 10 to 20 mph.

Saturday: Rain, moderate to potentially heavy at times, and windy with highs in the mid 50's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the E at 15 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph.

Saturday night: Showers, mainly before 2 AM, and breezy with lows in the upper 40's. Wind out of the NE at 10 to 20 m

Sunday: Cloudy with rain likely developing in the afternoon with highs in the low 60's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the ENE at 5 to 10 mph in the morning and then out of the E at 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon.

Sunday night: Rain, heavy at times late, and breezy with lows in the low 50's. Wind out of the ESE at 10 to 20 mph.

Monday: Rain ending early in the morning and then partly cloudy and breezy with highs in the low to mid 60's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the W then WSW at 15 to 20 mph with gusts to 25 mph.

Tuesday: Partly to mostly cloudy and breezy with a chance of an afternoon shower with highs in the upper 50's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the WSW/SW at 10 to 20 mph.

Wednesday: Partly to mostly cloudy with a 30% chance of some afternoon showers with highs in the upper 50's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the WNW at 10 to 15 mph.
