Getting closer to the extended dry period this weekend and next week with some cold nights...

...before the warming trend next week:

- We still have the system for tonight into tomorrow for the northeast with some freezing rain, sleet, and snow to the north. The warm front will lift just north of Long Island, so we should get into at least the low 60's tomorrow here on Long Island. - Still watching the weak system to our south for Friday afternoon to see if we get some sprinkles out of it. - Then the colder weather will be basically from Saturday night into early next week with Sunday night probably being the coldest night. - There is a slight chance for a weak system to swing through Monday afternoon/night, but most likely we'll remain dry from this weekend through at least next Thursday.
