Latest tracks for the future hurricane and comments for Long Island on the strong cold front today:

- The strong cold front will bring heavy showers and thunderstorms to Long Island later this morning into mid to late afternoon from west to east with temperatures dropping from the mid 70's in the late morning to the low 60's by mid to late afternoon.

- I have included maps with the latest tracks for the future hurricane from the Euro ensembles, GFS ensembles, and various models. It's still too close to call as to whether it will be named Hermine or Ian as the system coming off the coast of Africa today could possibly steal the name Hermine first.

- The last image is the future radar for 1 PM.

- Many more updates to come today!
