Nice weather and cooler and then after the rainy Saturday, it will be another dry stretch!

- Sunny and cooler with very low humidity this afternoon and breezy with elevated fire spread conditions, cold tonight (see 2nd image), and sunny and even cooler tomorrow than today with very low humidity again.

- Clouds increase on Friday with a rainy Saturday ahead, but Saturday may be the only day with rain for the next 10 days! There is the potential for periods of moderate to heavy rain on Saturday into Saturday night in central to eastern Suffolk as both the Euro and Canadian are showing the potential for more than 2 inches of rain, but it can still shift a little east or west.


LONG ISLAND FORECAST:

Today: Sunny, breezy, and cooler with very low humidity in the afternoon with elevated fire spread conditions with highs in the low to mid 60's, but cooler for the south shore and especially the east end. Wind out of the NNW at 15 to 20 mph with gusts to 25 mph.

Tonight: Clear and chilly with lows in the low 40's in Nassau and mostly around 40 degrees in Suffolk, but some mid to upper 30's are likely in the coldest spots in the Pine Barrens. Wind out of the N at 10 to 15 mph with gusts to 20 mph early.

Tomorrow: Sunny with very low humidity in the afternoon with highs in the low 60's in Nassau and just above 60 degrees in Suffolk, but even cooler for the south shore and especially the east end. Wind light at 5 mph or less in the morning and then out of the S at 10 to 15 mph by mid to late afternoon.

Tomorrow night: Clear skies with lows mostly in the upper 40's in Nassau and mid 40's in Suffolk. Wind out of the S at 5 to 10 mph.

Friday: Mostly sunny in the morning with increasing clouds in the afternoon with highs in the mid 60's, but cooler for the south shore and especially the east end. Wind out of the SSE/S at 5 to 10 mph in the morning and 10 to 20 mph in the afternoon.

Saturday: Rain with periods of moderate to heavy rain possible in central to eastern Suffolk with highs around 70 or 71 degrees, but cooler for the south shore and especially the east end. Wind out of the ESE at 5 to 10 mph in the morning and then out of the SSE at 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon.

Sunday: Becoming mostly sunny with highs in the mid 70's, but cooler for the south shore and especially the east end. Wind out of the NW/WNW/W at around 10 mph.

Monday: Mostly sunny with highs in the low to mid 70's, but cooler for the south shore and especially the east end. Wind out of the N/NNE at 5 to 10 mph in the morning and 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon.

Tuesday: Sunny with highs in the upper 60's, but cooler for the south shore and especially the east end. Wind at 5 to 10 mph from the NE in the morning and SE in the afternoon.
