Northeast weather update:

***4:30 AM update with a chilly and WINDY day in the northeast with snow in the mountains to the north and then the warming trend with a warm Saturday and nice weather for Easter with uncertainty in the temperatures that day as it may be milder than originally modeled, and then some showers early next week, but a generally mild week***

- The main story today in the northeast is the wind with cool temperatures making it feel chilly and even cold in the mountains with significant snow to the north. A cold night ahead as the wind only gradually subsides.

- Sunny and milder tomorrow, but it will still be breezy with the wind going nearly calm later tomorrow night.

- Clouds increase on Friday as the warm front swings through with some scattered showers for central to northern areas Friday evening into early Saturday morning.

- A warm and breezy day on Saturday with mostly cloudy to partly sunny conditions with many areas getting into the 70's. There's some uncertainty with the cold front, but it will generally make some progress late Saturday into Saturday night with some scattered showers, mainly for inland and central to northern areas as the cold front may be weakening at night and not really make it through southern areas of the northeast.

- Fair skies and mild for Easter with some uncertainty in the temperatures, but generally mild.

- Some showers probably for Monday night and then a mild week with maybe some rain later in the week.
