Update on the Long Island forecast and the tropics:

- The inland thunderstorms for later today into this evening will drastically weaken to showers by the time they get to Long Island (see 5th and 6th images for future radar) towards and mostly after midnight, so you may get a passing shower around 1 AM to 5 AM from west to east.

- Behind the front, the humidity will rapidly drop tomorrow morning as the wind becomes out of the W to WNW with some beautiful days ahead. The humidity will gradually increase this weekend with a chance of some showers by Sunday evening. It then looks like an extended period of unsettled weather with some rain from Labor Day afternoon into Wednesday.

- You can see the 2 potential tropical systems in the images below. Invest 91L may pose a problem for Bermuda, but there is still plenty of time to watch it. Depending on where the center of circulation forms, there are still a few rogue ensemble members that are southern and western outliers that can't be entirely discounted just yet.
