Warm today, rain tonight, and then an extended dry stretch (chilly weekend) and becoming warm again!

- Areas of fog and drizzle until around mid-morning (later for the south shore), but the sun will break through and temperatures will shoot up into the 70's for most of Long Island, but cooler for the south shore and especially the east end! Any possible showers towards late afternoon look to be widely scattered as most of the rain and possibly (low chance) a thunderstorm will be in the evening/night (see future radar at bottom of post).

- A lot of clouds around tomorrow and Saturday, and it will be a chilly weekend, but it will gradually warm up starting early next week with a warm stretch from Wednesday to Saturday with no rain expected for at least 8 straight days.
