Showers and thunderstorms at times for Long Island mostly from late Wednesday night into Thursday late afternoon. The 1st image shows 24-hour rainfall totals from the Euro. While a potential heat wave is being hyped elsewhere, it looks like temps mostly in the mid to upper 80's for Long island with a few low 90's in parts of NW Nassau for Friday to Sunday. The 2nd image shows temps from the GFS Ensemble Mean for Farmingdale. The 3rd image shows the projected path of a tropical or subtropical depression that will form just off the coast of North Carolina (after bringing 4 to 8 inches of rain there) and head out to sea.
