***3:45 AM update on the rain today, the heat wave, the timing of the cold front, and how long the nice weather behind it will last.***

- It looks like any scattered showers and locally heavy downpours will end on Long Island in the early to mid afternoon from west to east with the sun coming out shortly thereafter. I have included the future radar for 10 AM and 4 PM in the 3rd and 4th images.

- You all know about the hot and continued humid weather coming from Sunday to Wednesday. Wednesday ahead of the front will be VERY humid with heavy showers and strong thunderstorms from late afternoon into the night. The front should clear Long Island by mid to late morning Thursday with any showers ending and it becoming a little less humid in the afternoon with clearing skies, but the timing can still change.

- It then looks like dry weather with seasonable temperatures and mostly moderate humidity from next Friday (July 19th) to Monday (July 22nd).
