***A cool start, but a beautiful day ahead for Long Island with dry weather through the weekend, and we should all be thankful that the tropics are quiet for at least the next 7 to 10 days.***

- Temperatures are starting out similar to yesterday, but it will be a little warmer today and even warmer tomorrow. Clouds and some scattered showers for northern New England today as the closed-off upper level low spins around and keeps it cooler there.

- A warm weekend ahead with a lot of sunshine and mostly low to moderate humidity.

- It is a bit surprising, but there continue to be only weak signals for a hurricane to form in the next 2 weeks due to a variety of factors, so we should be thankful for every day further out in time we can get before the next hurricane forms as we are approaching peak season.
