My Personal Weatherman™
A look at the tropics and Long Island weather:
Tropics:
I'm happy to report that the tropics are quiet with no tropical systems expected to develop for at least the next 5 days. However, there is a chance for 1 or 2 tropical systems in the first week of October as both the Euro ensembles and GFS ensembles show potential tropical development in the western Caribbean and also in the eastern Atlantic. The next 2 names on the list are Gamma and Delta.
Forecast for Long Island:
Today: Mostly cloudy with highs mostly in the mid to upper 70's.
Tomorrow: Partly cloudy with highs mostly in the mid to upper 70's.
Saturday: Partly cloudy and becoming more humid by afternoon and evening with only a 20% chance of a passing shower. Highs mostly in the low to mid 70's.
Sunday: Partly cloudy and fairly humid with highs mostly in the mid to upper 70's.
Monday: Mostly cloudy and humid with a 40% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms. Highs mostly in the mid 70's.
Tuesday: Partly cloudy with a slight chance of a passing shower with highs mostly in the low to mid 70's.
