A nice weekend ahead and mostly above average temperatures coming up after today:

- Most of today will be dry for most of Long Island with a chance of a stray shower or thunderstorm. The front comes through tonight with some scattered showers and possibly a thunderstorm, mostly between 8 PM and midnight, but later east. The 2nd and 3rd images are for 1 PM and 9 PM, and they are only meant to show the general idea as it will never be exact.

- Mostly moderate humidity and warmer this weekend with highs mostly in the mid 80's.

- Another front will bring showers and thunderstorms mostly Monday night with warmer (hotter) weather for the rest of the week.

- The tropics are still quiet, but there is still a slight chance for a storm to form as it gets closer to the United States towards mid-month (see 4th image for the Euro ensembles).
