Another beautiful day and then we have the offshore storm tomorrow night, cold front Saturday evening, a brief cooldown with beautiful days and a big warm-up next week:

- There could be some slight haze from wildfire smoke today, but another beautiful day for Long Island and the northeast.

- The offshore storm with a slight chance to acquire subtropical characteristics heads towards Nova Scotia tomorrow night into Saturday with rain and wind.

- The cold front swings through the northeast from southwest to northeast Saturday afternoon into early Sunday morning with some showers and possibly a thunderstorm, and there will be another offshore area of low pressure. For Long Island, the timing is mostly Saturday evening, but a shower is possible in the afternoon.

- Beautiful weather then with cooler weather for Sunday into Monday and then a big warm-up by Tuesday and the rest of the week with no rain expected.

- We still have the 4 areas in the tropics, but nothing major to worry about for the next 10 days.
