LONG ISLAND FORECAST:

Today: Mostly sunny overall with highs in the mid to upper 60's in Nassau and low to mid 60's in Suffolk, but cooler for the south shore and especially the east end. Wind out of the E at around 5 mph in the morning and then out of the ESE at 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight: Increasing clouds with patchy fog/drizzle possible after midnight with lows in the low 50's in Nassau and in the upper 40's in Suffolk. Wind out of the E at 5 to 10 mph.

Tomorrow: Early morning fog/drizzle possible, otherwise cloudy and becoming breezy with some light scattered showers by mid to late afternoon with highs in the mid 60's in Nassau and low to mid 60's in Suffolk, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the E at 5 to 10 mph in the morning and then out of the SE at 10 to 20 mph in the afternoon.

Tomorrow night: Breezy with evening showers becoming a steadier/ heavier rain after midnight with a chance of a thunderstorm with lows in the low 50's. Wind out of the SE at 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 25 to 35 mph.

Sunday: Showers ending around mid to late morning from west to east, but possibly lingering into early afternoon in eastern Suffolk and then partly to mostly cloudy in the afternoon with highs in the mid 60's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the W at 10 to 15 mph.

Monday: Partly cloudy and breezy in the afternoon with highs in the low 60's in Nassau and around 60 in Suffolk, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the WNW at 10 to 20 mph.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny in the morning with more clouds in the afternoon and breezy with highs near 60 in Nassau and in the upper 50's in Suffolk, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the NW at 10 to 20 mph.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny with highs in the low 60's in Nassau and around 60 or 61 in Suffolk, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the NW at 5 to 10 mph.

Thursday: Partly sunny to mostly cloudy with highs in the low 60's in Nassau and near 60 in Suffolk, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the NE at 5 to 10 mph in the morning and then ESE at 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon.
